Weekly Parent Update - Friday 4th April
It was a truly colourful and creative picture in the infant hall on Wednesday, as we enjoyed our Infants’ Easter Bonnet Parade.
Weekly Update from Mr Meehan
What a beautifully sunny week for our last week of term, hopefully with some nice weather to come over the Easter break as well!
Congrats to Excellence Award winners this term; this was a super start to our week, and our governors Mrs Caldwell and Miss Palmer were on hand to give out these coveted awards. The pictures of our latest winners are already on our Excellence board.
I very much enjoyed seeing our choir in full flow at the Rose Theatre on Tuesday at the annual Malden and Coombe Cluster concert; not only were their costumes the most colourful on stage, the singing was beautiful and captivating. Together with all the other schools’ variety of performances, it was a great event. My thanks to Mrs Bond for making this happen.
It was a truly colourful and creative picture in the infant hall on Wednesday, as we enjoyed our Infants’ Easter Bonnet Parade. Each class paraded around the hall and our governors Mrs Fereday and Mrs Caldwell were our judges for the morning, picking the winners.
This week, you will also have seen the letter we have sent out from the Malden and Coombe Cluster schools regarding our mobile phone approach from September; be assured more detail on this will follow over next term, and we will appreciate your continued feedback and input on this.
Gathering together as a whole school community is always a rare treat for us, and we were able to do this for our Easter service in the church this morning. Thank you to parents who joined us; it was a lovely end to our term, and a big well done especially to our Year 5 children for leading us in understanding more about the Christian celebration of Easter.
I pray all of our families have a wonderful time over the next two weeks, and catch something of the spirit of our recent iShare Learning theme of ‘New Creations’ and, of course, the forthcoming season of the Christian celebration of Easter, rejoicing in new life and hope. May we all know some new creation and re-creation and be blessed with some happy family and friends time over these two weeks.
